On 22nd April, Ms. Ruolei Wu, Vice General Supervisor of International Cooperation & Operation of the Science journal, as well as reporters from the journal, came to DICP to carry out interviews of 3 scientists of the institute, namely, Prof. Can Li (Member of CAS), Prof. Xueming Yang (Member of CAS) and Prof. Zhongmin Liu.

Before the interviews, officials of the Science & Technology Office of DICP introduced to the guests on the basic situation of the institute. Then, the Science reporters interviewed separately Prof. Li, Prof. Yang and Prof. Liu in their own laboratories. During the interview, Prof. Li talked on the development plan of the DICP National Laboratory as well as his studies on solar energy. Prof. Yang introduced researches on molecular reaction dynamics conducted by him and his research team, and Prof. Liu explained the methanol to olefins (MTO) technologies developed by DICP scientists. They also answered questions raised by the reporters.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) has scheduled to cooperate with the Science journal in this September to give publicity to the development plan, the research power, the key research fields and the important achievements of CAS in the form of “supplementary pages ” in the Science journal. To this purpose, 10 representative institutes of CAS have been chosen for field interviews by the reporters of the Science journal, and the first institute to be visited was DICP.
