On 12th December, 5 experts were invited by the Chemistry Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NNSFC) to undertake an acceptance check of the project “Research Installation for Surface Photo-Chemistry Kinetics”, which was a special research project of the NNSFC on basic instrumentation research, and was accomplished by DICP scientists. Prof. Xueming Yang, chief scientist in charge of the project, presented an accomplishment report of the project.
After conducting hearings on the research content, research implementation and budget accounts of the project, the experts carried out in-depth inquiries on the parameters, functional features, and application scopes of the research installation. Then, the experts inspected on-site demonstration of the installation.
Subsequently, the experts gave their evaluation of the installation, and concluded that the research plan was fully implemented, and the finished installation showed peculiar characteristics. Accordingly, this installation turned out to be an important experimental platform for studies of surface photo-chemistry. The experts agreed unanimously that the project has passed the acceptance check, and was assessed as an “excellent” research work.
