A review article with the title of “Hydrogen Bonding in the Electronic Excited State”, written by Assoc. Prof. ZHAO Guangjiu and Prof. HAN Keli of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Dynamics, DICP, was published in the recently appearing issue of the Accounts of Chemical Research (Acc. Chem. Res., DOI:10.1021/ar200135h, 2011, ASAP http://pubs.acs.org/doi/pdf/10.1021/ar200135h).

The article reviewed the new progresses made by the DICP team headed by Prof. HAN Keli on the structures and kinetics of electronic excited state hydrogen bonding, on the reinforced-promoting ultra-fast internal conversion process of excited state hydrogen bonding, on the shifting rules of excited state hydrogen bonding and electronic spectra, and on intermediate states induced by excited state hydrogen bonding, as well as on charge transferring excited states, etc. Future development trends of this research area were also discussed.
