Key Parameters:
Base Vacuum: ~10-7 Torr
Resolution of mass: ~1400
Functions & Applications
A novel catalytic reactor coupled with vacuum ultraviolet single-photon ionization molecular beam mass spectrometry (VUV-SPI-MBMS) is used for understanding the mechanism of catalytic reaction, for example conversion of methane to ethylene. Molecular beam sampling is applied to identify radicals and intermediates. The reaction mechanism can be speculated from the information of products and intermediates.
