Molecular Beam with Surface Scattering Instrument

Base Vacuum:  <10 -10 torr (when pulsed molecular beam is off)
Detectable Angle:  from -70°to 135°
Detect Methods:  quadrupole mass spectroscopy; TOF-MS; TPD

Functions & Applications

This instrument combines molecular beam technique, surface technique and multiple detector methods。 It can detect the angular distribution internal energy distribution of product which are flying out from the surface and can also detect the adsorption products in the surface. With controlling the collision energy and the internal energy of reactant, the temperature of the surface et al., the information of the products will be changed. The research using this setup can bring some useful information for catalytic mechanism.
